In light of the current economic (and political) climate GEM North East is hosting a conference to showcase innovative ways cultural organisations in the North East have successfully fundraised through their learning programmes. GEM North East hopes that delegates will leave the conference with ideas on how they can increase fundraising in their working practice.

The purpose of this meeting is to re-launch the GEM Freelance Network and share the kind of things we'd like to see the network do for freelancers in the sector. Come and meet the new GEM Freelance Convenor, Jenny Wedgbury, and discuss opportunities to re-vitalise the network and better support freelancers and their relationships with museum education staff.

There will be tea, coffee, biscuits and a good chat and then the opportunity to join us for our GEM London CPD Twilight event 18.00 - 20.30. More information and booking for this event below.

This GEM Twilight event discusses approaches to making learning programmes educational, engaging and entertaining.

Speakers from Warner Bros. Studio Tour, Historical Royal Palaces, Madame Tussauds London and the Postal Museum will share their experience of developing learning programmes for schools, building relationships with teachers and making connections across the curriculum.

The ticket price includes a ride on the Postal Museum's Mail Rail!
