COMMUNITY OUTREACH SEMINAR
This three day residential
seminar explored the shift in relationship between museums and their local
community, where community groups are no longer simply users of the museum’s
services, but actively engaged in the strategic development and programming of
the service.
Delegates chose from a series of training workshops exploring current
thinking and best practice in outreach work with adults, particularly those from
non-traditional audiences. Workshop facilitators were drawn from across the
UK and Ireland
