Improving your personal skills in team working and working with external providers
5 February 2007 Preston
Led by Julia Schofield, a professional
business trainer, one half of this day focused on team building: What are the
advantages of a good team? What makes a successful team? What are the stages in
the development of a team? What are Belbin’s team roles? Take back ideas to try
in your own organisation.
The second session looked at working
with external providers for example consultants, artists or performers. How do
you choose and employ an external provider? How do you prepare the brief? What
do you do to determine the return on your investment? What do you look for in a
consultant?
Taking object handling to the next stage
2 March 2007 Salford
This practical session explored how you can build on your current handling
sessions to answer the following questions - how can we deliver a high quality
handling activity, use questions most successfully, and so engage with people
most strongly? How can we make object handling activities appropriate to
different audiences and different learning outcomes?
As well as discussing the practical
techniques used in object handling such as structure and questioning and the use
of group mind mapping, this session also discovered the learning journeys
different audiences can take. It will consider which GLOs support object
handling and how you can evaluate sessions.
