Scottish History and A Curriculum for Excellence –
Opportunities and challenges for the
heritage sector
Gallery of Modern Art, National Galleries of Scotland,
Belford Road, Edinburgh
The changes that will come with the implementation of A Curriculum for
Excellence will also see changes in the Scottish history that is taught in our
schools.
-
What will these changes entail?
-
How can we, in the heritage education sector, respond to these
-
How best can we ensure that our collections continue to support learning and teaching and be made ever more relevant to our schools audience?
Speakers will include representatives from Learning
Teaching Scotland and the Scottish Association of Teachers of History.
Delegates will get the opportunity to explore curriculum changes in some depth
and consider how their own organisations can best respond to these.
£20 for GEM Members or £40 for non GEM Members
