An Introduction
to 'Glow'
Learning and Teaching Scotland, Glasgow
Glow is the world's first national intranet for
education. It provides a platform for online collaboration and sharing which
allows Scotland's teachers and pupils to work and learn in exciting new ways.
Glow is breaking down barriers and making learning experiences and
opportunities more widely accessible.
Through this afternoon session, participants will gain an understanding of what
Glow is, how it works and how it is being used in classrooms across
Scotland. Members will also get the opportunity to explore the opportunities it
could provide for the heritage sector and consider how their organisations could
use the Glow network to maximise the potential of their resources and get
connected with schools in their area - and beyond.
Please note that this is an afternoon session and that lunch will not be
provided. Spaces for this day are limited and will be on a first come, first
served basis - so get your applications in quick!
