Who it’s for:
Anyone who works in museums, galleries and the wider heritage sector who is interested in exploring ways of
• making our museums more welcoming to families, and
• developing rich family learning opportunities.
This study day will explore:

Creating family learning materials for museums and galleries

Different approaches for evaluating family learning events.

Developing back packs and activity carts

Designing exhibitions to encourage family interaction

Using family friendly audits.

There are plans to arrange a
similar family learning day in North Wales in early 2008

identity/belonging.
