Learning outside the classroom is about raising achievement through an organised, powerful approach to learning in which direct experience is of prime importance.

LOtC: Making a Difference in the Heritage Sector
Monday 9 July 2007 London
This one-day conference gave an opportunity to find out more about the implementation of the Learning Outside the Classroom Manifesto across the heritage sector, and to debate and influence its development.

A second LOtC one day conference: LEARNING OUTSIDE THE CLASSROOM MANIFESTO - A turning point in heritage education
was held on 14 March 2008 in London.

A long series of Quality Badge training events located all around England took place in spring 2009.
