Learning Outside the Classroom

Heritage Partnership
To ensure the interests of all parties are considered, eight sector partnerships have been set up. One of these is the Heritage Sector Partnership (HSP) and John Stevenson, Director of GEM, has been appointed chair of this partnership.
The partnership has 20 members – all are learning professionals with diverse backgrounds in the heritage sector. They bring a range of views and information regarding LOtC to the table and these are fed back to the contractors and the government to ensure that the needs of the heritage sector are considered in the implementation of the LOtC Manifesto. The partnership is also be able to review and feedback on developments.
Finally the individual members of the partnership provide invaluable links to other organisations and networks within education and the heritage sector. The HSP next meets on Thursday 20 March 2008.
